Ten Year Vamp… female-fronted, high-energy, modern radio rock… Pink meets the Foo Fighters with pints full of personality, charm, and sex appeal! Described by music media as the next No Doubt, Ten Year Vamp has sold thousands of CD’s, earning them a spot on the Billboard charts and numerous local, regional, and national awards along the way.

Ten Year Vamp’s latest release is called Lust, a 5 track, high energy pop/rock collection with a unique perspective on love and lust. “Every night we’re playing in some club or concert hall watching the audience. We’ve seen every possible permutation of love and lust… the stories unfold right in front of us.” says front-woman Debbie Gabrione. “We had fantastic success with our last album and the royalties are still great. These new songs are even better and we’ll work hard to make sure we get even better publishing deals this time around” says Mark Rose, co-owner of Ten Year Vamp with Gabrione.

The band has performed two to four shows a week at hundreds of venues across the Northeast USA, including CBGBs, The Knitting Factory and the 20,000+ Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The album was named Best Indie Album of 2009 by The Mothpod and several songs from the album were voted among the top 20 songs of 2009 by various nationwide charts. Songs from the album were used by FOX Sports, TLC, The Speed Channel, The Versus Channel, Dockers Jeans, The Adobe Corporation, and many others. Songs from the album were also featured on ABC FAMILY’s, Switched At Birth, and several of MTV’s prime time shows including The Real World and The Real World Challenge.

APPELLATION: California

WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES:
“Our first blended red wine for Cupcake Vineyards has over the top aromas of chocolate, deep rich blackberries, red fruits that follow through the palate to a creamy mocha finish that is unmistakable in its intensity and length, with a hint of coconut. It’s reminiscent of a blackberry chocolate cupcake with a mocha coulis.”

FOOD PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Enjoy with sweet and spicy Hoisin steak, a barbecue bacon cheese burger or even dark chocolate fondue.

WINEMAKING NOTES:
Red Velvet is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah; each variety lending structure, aroma, depth of flavor and a long creamy finish to this wine. The grapes were harvested from some of the finest vineyards of California’s viticultural areas; each picked for their ability to engender these grapes with distinct characteristics that will add to this blend. Each varietal was fermented separately and later blended and put through a unique oak regime that imparts a certain creaminess.

<a title="The world's most popular beer style, which includes pilsner, American lager, and helles lager serves as the ultimate thirst quencher during the heat of summer.

History: The first golden lager was produced in Plzn, Bohemia (now Czech Republic) in 1842 with the advent of advanced grain drying technology that resulted in brilliantly golden hued beer. Today, the vast majority of beer consumed worldwide is golden lager.

Food: Golden lagers are among the most diverse food beers, with the more straightforward American lagers pairing well with fried and oily foods, particularly pizza and pub grub, and the more assertively bitter Bohemian and German pilsners, which work wonderfully with saltwater fish.

Recommended Glassware: Pilsner Glass or Cervoise Glass or Flute Glass

Original Gravity (OG): 1.024 – 1.060

Final Gravity (FG): 0.992 – 1.018

Alcohol Content (ABV): 2.5 – 7.5%

Bitterness (IBU): 3 – 45

Color (SRM): 1.5 – 10º L

Ideal Serving Temperature: 36 – 42º F" href="http://greatbrewers.com/term/style/lager/golden-lager" rel="tag">GOLDEN LAGER

<a title="This style has low malt (and adjunct) sweetness, is medium bodied, and should contain no or a low percentage (less than 25%) of adjuncts. Color may be light straw to golden. Alcohol content and bitterness may also be greater. Hop aroma and flavor is low or negligible. Light fruity esters are acceptable. Chill haze and diacetyl should be absent. Note: Some beers marketed as "premium" (based on price) may not fit this definition.

Origin: North American

Recommended Glassware: Pilsner Glass or Cervoise Glass

Original Gravity (ºPlato): 1.044-1.048 (11-12 ºPlato)

Apparent Extract/Final Gravity (ºPlato): 1.010-1.014 (2.5-3.5 ºPlato)

<a title="A lager is a beer that is produced with a bottom fermenting yeast strain. In general, lagers are fermented at cooler temperatures (40 - 50ºF) and for a longer period of time (4-6 weeks) than ales.

Most bottom fermenting yeast strains do not produce flavor or aroma altering compounds commonly found in ales, so the characteristics of lagers are usually straightforward, and come mostly from malt and hops. Like ales, lagers can range dramatically in color from straw-gold to black, and can be found with a huge variance in strength, from 0.5% ABV to more than 12% ABV." href="http://greatbrewers.com/term/style/lager" rel="tag">LAGER

<a title="An ale is a beer that is produced with a top fermenting yeast strain. In general, ales are fermented at warmer temperatures (60 - 70ºF) and for a shorter period of time (2-3 weeks) than lagers.

Most top fermenting yeast strains produce phenols, which impart spicy undertones to a beer, and esters, which provide fruity characteristics. Like lagers, ales can range dramatically in color from straw-gold to black, and can be found with a huge variance in strength, from 0.5% ABV to more than 12% ABV." href="http://greatbrewers.com/term/style/ale" rel="tag">ALE

<a title="No other beer offers the finesse of a Belgian Ale. Enriched by a myriad of fruity esters and spicy phenols, Belgian Ales display a fluffy, eternal head, a hearty body, and a gloriously mellow, soft and round finish.

History: The inclement grape growing regions of Belgium provide an ideal environment for barley farming and hop growing. While France lauds its wine, Belgium celebrates over a millennium of innovation and passion for brewing inspiring ales.

Food: Generally speaking, Belgian ale is a gastronomic miracle. The delicate spicy and fruity nature of these ales, accentuated by the distinctive Belgian yeast strains, pairs beautifully with lamb, mussels, and semi-soft cheeses such as gouda, havarti, and tilsit.

Recommended Glassware: Goblet or Chalice

Original Gravity (OG): 1.048 – 1.110

Final Gravity (FG): 1.010 – 1.024

Alcohol Content (ABV): 4.8 – 13.0%

Bitterness (IBU): 15 – 35

Color (SRM): 8 – 25º L

Ideal Serving Temperature: 50º F" href="http://greatbrewers.com/term/style/ale/belgian-ale" rel="tag">BELGIAN ALE

<a title="Beers in this category are golden to deep amber in color. There may be quite a variety of characters within this style. Generally: They are light to medium in body. Malt aroma is low to medium-low. Fruity esters dominate the aroma, while hop character, complex alcohols, herbs, spices and even clove and smoke-like phenolics may or may not be evident in the overall balanced beer. Malt flavor is low but provides foundation for the overall balance. Hop bitterness is moderate to moderately assertive. Herb and/or spice flavors may or may not be evident. Fruitiness from fermentation is generally in character. A balanced small amount of sour or acidic flavors is acceptable when in balance with other components. Earthy, cellar like, musty aromas are okay. Diacetyl should not be perceived. Chill or slight yeast haze is okay. Often bottle conditioned with some yeast character and high carbonation.

Origin: Belgian and French
